Peter Johnston

Early in 1969, Peter learnt to meditate and experienced a transformation – from feeling sad & lonely, angry, fearful & lacking direction, to joyful, communicative, hopeful & purposeful. His perception of the outside world and the inner world expanded. The noise & anger inside subsided and the peaceful directed dynamism grew.

The changes didn’t happen overnight, but gradually, cumulatively, over a period of days, weeks, months and years of regular daily meditation, his life became integrated, he gained stability and his health improved. During this time Peter inspired many people to learn to meditate, and he knew that one day he would become a teacher.

Peter and his wife married in 1974 and have experienced the highs and lows of pursuing careers and additional studies whilst also raising their two children, now successful and established in their own lives. They are enjoying the delights of grandchildren and the special delight of handing on this Vedic knowledge.

While developing a successful career as a systems analyst & tester in the computer industry, Peter has attended many advanced meditation courses in his spare time, culminating in Exploring the Veda with Tim Brown in Sydney, and Initiator Training with Thom Knoles in May 2007.

Having achieved his goal of becoming a Vedic Meditation teacher Peter is at last fulfilling his dream of assisting others to learn meditation and integrate this new gift with their daily lives.
